He graduated from medical school with honours, earning numerous accolades, including the prestigious title of Dux of his graduating year and awards for Surgery and Public Health Medicine. His outstanding achievements were further recognised with the Handbury Scholarship, celebrating his exemplary academic performance.

Dr. Parsons completed his specialist ophthalmology training through the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH) and further honed his expertise in oculoplastic surgery during a prestigious fellowship under Professor Timothy Sullivan at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. This advanced training equips him to expertly manage a wide range of conditions affecting the eyelids, lacrimal system, and anterior orbit.
